TIRE COUPLING
Description
Tire couplings are torsionally soft shaft couplings with a flexible body that balances out alignment and protects other components in the transmission system. Tire couplings feature a high level of capacity, dampen vibrations, no lubrication is required, easy replacement, easy installation requiring no special tools or skilled labor, etc.
FLEX COUPLING
Description
A flex couplings job is to transmit power from one shaft to another, balance out misalignment and provide protection against function such as vibration dampening or acting as a "fuse" in th case of torque overload. There are many different types of couplings such as: sliding block, roller or silent chain, steel grid, coil spring, wafer and flexible disc, gear or multi jaw, magnetic, etc. Call today and speak with a knowledgeable representative about couplings and what we have to offer.
Jaw Couplings
Description
Jaw couplings are used in a wide variety of applications, including conveyor systems, pumps, compressors, and other industrial machinery. They are known for their reliability, ease of installation, and typically require little maintenance. Jaw couplings are made up of two hubs and an elastomeric spider that fits between them. The hubs have curved “jaws” that mesh with the spider's teeth, creating a secure connection. Industrial Bearing Supply offers jaw couplings in a variety of sizes to meet the specific needs of your operations.
SHAFT COUPLERS
Description
These hubs are made of metal and have a keyed bore to fit onto the shafts. They are designed to compensate for misalignments between other shafts to help maintain accurate power transmission. If you’re not sure what type of shaft coupler will work best for your operations, contact one of the knowledgeable associates at Industrial Bearing Supply
